I wanted to highlight this great podcast from CBC’s The Current with Geoffrey Hinton, the godfather of deep learning. He occasionally seems to woosh over host Anna Maria Tremonti’s head, but overall does a really nice job explaining some of the basics behind how deep learning works and why it’s been able to make such startling advances in the past five years or so.
